Through the practice of meditation, we glimpse unconditional goodness as the ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; font-size: large;"&gt;About the teacher:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 16px;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"&gt;Brian has been meditating since 1972 and has been a member of the Shambhala Buddhist Community since 1985. He has been a student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the Vajra Regent Osel Tendzin and is currently studying with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. In 2003 he completed the traditional 3-year retreat practices at Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia and then served as the Executive Director of the Abbey until 2005. A senior Shambhala Training Director, Brian has taught Shambhala levels throughout Canada and the United States. His teaching style is contemporary, filled with humor and accessible to beginners and experienced meditators.
